Evaluation of Strains in Bituminous Surfaces: Stiffness-Fatigue Investigation

Report No: 72-R34

Published in 1973

About the report:

The study was designed to determine if strains in Virginia's thin asphaltic pavements were high enough to cause early fatigue failure. Strains were computed with the Chevron multilayer computer program, and also measured on selected highways using electrical strain gages and a dynamic recording system.
