Validation of the Mechanistic-Empirical Procedure to Determine In-Place Hot-Mix Asphalt Layer Modulus for Rehabilitation Projects

About the project

The proposed project will seek to validate the proposed mechanistic-empirical analysis procedure to characterize HMA layers for rehabilitation purposes. It will complement data from an earlier study with additional laboratory testing, which will include dynamic modulus tests on "composite" cores. The anticipated outcome is an alternative, and improved procedure for obtaining the master curve for field damaged HMA layers.
