About the project
The project proposed here would develop and use a prototype Statistical Quality Assurance (SQA) Special Provision for acceptance of asphalt pavements. The SQA would be developed in such a manner that it can be implemented in phases. It will accentuate the volumetric properties of the HMA mixture and density, permeability, and smoothness of the constructed pavement using the most effective statistical measures of the material and construction properties.
