Geotechnical Data Management

About the project:

The purpose of this project is to improve and simplify how the Virginia Department of Transportation generates, stores, retrieves and presents geotechnical data.  This will enhance workforce productivity and reduce costs associated with the delivery of geotechnical data. The system VDOT currently uses involves a complex interaction of various software packages, including gINT, MicroStation and Trimble Pathfinder Office.  This project aims to achieve a greater interoperability among the various system components, combined with additional functionality.
