An Organizational Analysis of the Fulton Warehouse

Report No: 70-R57

Published in 1971

About the report:

The purpose of this study was to examine the Warehouse organization as an entity separate from the Purchasing Division. The examination focused on the organization internally and then on its relationships to other organizational structures. This study was proposed on the assumption that people close to an organization can modify its existing programs and thereby make them more relevant to the specific needs of that organization. The study has found that the Fulton Warehouse is a potentially progressive organization, but that it has a variety of inhibitors. Because of the progressive attitude of the Warehouse management, many of the recommendations made here have already been implemented; others do not fall under the immediate jurisdiction of the Warehouse and may take time for implementation if in fact their adoption is desired by the management.
