Use of Non Destructive Evaluation to Determine Moisture Quantity in Flexible Pavements

About the project

Moisture in asphalt causes stripping and premature deterioration of the pavement. A non-destructive method to measure the quantity of moisture in asphalt pavements is needed to identify mixtures and locations that will be prone to early failure because of stripping. Once the pavements can be identified steps can be taken to reduce the exposure to moisture damage.
