Detection of Subsurface Contaminants

About the project

class="MsoNormal">The objective of this study is to develop a field procedure for rapid delineation of subsurface contaminants.  This procedure will allow for mapping and identification of various contaminants.  In areas where a precise analytical evaluation is required, the proposed method will allow for a more judicious placement of monitoring wells for optimum sampling, thereby resulting in a substantial reduction in the number of monitoring wells necessary to analyze a given site.
