An Examination of the Land Development Review Process of VDOT

About the project:

The purpose of this study is to clarify, document, and evaluate processes used by VDOT in providing land development services and to address related budgeting issues. Current practices will be researched and documented, with particular attention to identifying where practices vary between different locations and to clarifying the related legal requirements. Practices will be evaluated, along with variations in practices, and recommendations made for potential improvements. Accurate information will be collected on how much VDOT resources are spent in providing land development services.
