Airsage Evaluation (Travel Time Data) - Northern Virginia

About the project:

VDOT is exploring the possibility of procuring link travel time data from Airsage, an Atlanta-based private corporation that has developed a travel time data service based on wireless location based technology, and/or another entitiy offering similar services.  Prior to doing so, VDOT must be assured that the data is of acceptable quality for the applications that it must support.

The purpose of this project is to evaluate the ability of a travel time data service to meet VDOT's needs in an urban region.  The scope of this effort will be limited to an evaluation of the Airsage service in Northern Virginia.  The evaluation will include both freeway and arterial facilities.
